Dennis Ryu has a diverse work experience in the field of electrical engineering and healthcare technology. Dennis is currently a Senior Electrical Engineer at Sibel Health, where they are responsible for the development and validation of pulse oximeters. Additionally, they hold the position of Head of Global Health Programs at the same company, overseeing the deployment of sensors for large-scale studies in several countries. Prior to Sibel Health, Dennis worked as an Electrical Engineer, focusing on designing and validating sensors and managing quality control at the manufacturing stage.
Furthermore, Dennis has experience as a Hardware Engineer at Wearifi, Inc., and as a Post-Baccalaureate Research Fellow at Northwestern University, where they designed medical devices and collaborated with a children's hospital for testing and data acquisition. Dennis also served as the Director of Corporate Relations for the Korean Student Association at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and held various research assistant roles at the university, working on projects related to bio-signal measurement systems and wearable devices.
Dennis Ryu earned their Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, where they studied from 2013 to 2017. In addition to their degree, they obtained the certification of Certified Interconnect Designer (CID) from IPC in July 2022. Dennis also completed the course "Fundamentals of Visualization with Tableau" through Coursera in October 2017.
