Nicu Taschina

Nicu Taschina has a diverse work experience spanning multiple roles and companies. Nicu started their career as a Teacher of applied mathematics and Teacher of Informatics at Cronos College from October 2001 to March 2003. After that, they worked as a Technical Support Engineer at Wizrom Software from March 2003 to January 2004, where they provided technical support and developed new reports and functionality using SQL and PL-SQL tools. Nicu then joined SIVECO Romania in February 2004 as an Oracle Software Developer, where they worked until March 2015. In this role, they developed and customized programs, modules, and reports in various Siveco Applications, using PL-SQL, Forms 10G, and Reports 10G. From March 2015 to December 2019, Nicu worked at Oracle as a Senior Technical Support Engineer, responsible for managing and resolving service requests logged by customers on Oracle products, contributing to proactive support activities, and maintaining product expertise within the team. Since December 2019, they have been working at SIBS as a Software Developer, primarily writing code in PL-SQL for data load/import and developing/maintaining functionality for virtual terminals that use phones as terminals and accept transactions as POS.

Nicu Taschina attended Academia de Studii Economice din București from 1995 to 2001, where they obtained a degree in Applied Economics from The Faculty of Economic Cybernetics, Statistics and Informatics. Nicu then pursued further education at the same institution, completing a Master's degree in Quantitative Economics from The Faculty of Economic Cybernetics, Statistics and Informatics from 2001 to 2002, with a focus on Applied Economics.

In terms of certifications, Nicu Taschina has obtained various certifications from Oracle. In 2009, they became an Oracle Forms Developer Certified Professional and an Oracle Database: SQL Certified Expert. In 2011, they earned certifications as an Oracle Certified Professional Java Programmer and as an Oracle Certified Associate in Java SE 5/SE 6. In 2011, they also became an Oracle Business Intelligence Foundation 10 Certified Implementation Specialist and an OPN Certified Specialist. Nicu'smost recent certification is the Oracle WebCenter Content 11g Certified Implementation Specialist, which they obtained in 2012.
