Debjit Dey

Debjit Dey has extensive work experience in procurement and contracts. Debjit began their career at Voltas Limited as a Production Engineer, where they were responsible for production planning and stock control. Debjit then worked at Techpacific India Limited as a Senior Purchase Executive, handling purchase accounts for multinational companies in the IT industry. After that, they joined Reliance Industries Limited as an Assistant Manager in procurement and contracts, where they were responsible for acquiring materials and services for oil and gas assets. Debjit then moved on to UHDE India Ltd as the Chief Engineer in Procurement and Estimation, working on estimation jobs for various chemical plant projects. Following this, they worked at JGC Gulf International Co. Ltd. in various roles, including Deputy Department Manager and Procurement Team Manager. Currently, they hold the position of Head of Procurement & Sub-Contracts at Sicim.

Debjit Dey has a diverse education history. Debjit obtained their Bachelor's of Engineering degree in Mechanical Engineering from Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology in the years 1992 to 1996. After a brief gap, they pursued an MBA in Materials Management from Mahatma Phule Institute Of Management and Computer Science from 1998 to 2000. Prior to their MBA, Debjit also completed a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from the same institute, Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology, from 1992 to 1996. Additionally, they obtained a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Mechanical Engineering from Visveshvaraya Regional Engineering College in the year 1992 after completing their schooling.

In terms of certifications, Debjit Dey has obtained the CIPP/CIPM certification from IPSCMI in November 2022.
