Sherin Jayanand

Sherin Jayanand, PMP®, has extensive work experience in program and project management roles within the telecommunications industry. Sherin started their career as a Systems Officer at Andaman Timber Industries Ltd in 1997 and later transitioned to Manager at Ushacomm in 1999. At Ushacomm, they managed multiple projects for international clients in Bangladesh, Canada, Argentina, Puerto Rico, Mexico, Panama, and the USA.

In 2005, Sherin joined Tecnotree Corporation as a Project Manager and later worked as a Program Manager, Deputy General Manager, and General Manager. Sherin successfully turned around projects, ensured timely delivery, and implemented billing solutions for MTNL in Delhi and Mumbai, India. Sherin also provided project management and support during the study and pre-implementation phase for EMTEL in Mauritius.

Sherin then moved on to Enhancesys Innovations Pvt. Ltd. in 2012, where they served as the General Manager before joining MTN - Dubai in 2013. At MTN, Sherin held the role of Senior Manager Program Management Office, where they were accountable for managing a portfolio of over USD50m and overseeing strategic initiatives across 22 different countries. Sherin played a crucial role in driving digital transformation through the adaptation of a Bimodal approach and ensuring effective stakeholder management.

Most recently, Sherin joined Sidara in 2017 as the Head of IT PMO. In this role, they continue to apply their expertise in program and project management to lead and guide the IT PMO for the company.

Throughout their career, Sherin has demonstrated their ability to deliver results, manage stakeholders, and motivate teams to achieve common delivery goals.

Sherin Jayanand attended St Michael from 1982 to 1987 but did not specify a degree or field of study. Later, Sherin earned a BCOM degree in Commerce from Annamalai University. In terms of additional certifications, Sherin obtained the PMP certification from the Project Management Institute in 2015, the ITIL® Foundation Certificate in IT Service Management from AXELOS Global Best Practice in 2016, and the Telecoms Mini MBA from Telecoms Academy - part of KNect365 TMT in 2016.
