Markus Kahlbetzer is a seasoned entrepreneur and investor with extensive experience in venture capital and asset management. As Co-Founder and General Partner of Side Stage Ventures since November 2022, Markus focuses on supporting elite Australian founders at the earliest stages. Markus also serves as CEO and Founder of BridgeLane Group, a prominent asset management firm involved in agricultural and real estate sectors. In addition, Markus is a founding partner of Tank Stream Ventures, which invests in Australian tech startups, and has held multiple seed investor roles in companies such as Go1 and Airtasker. Previous leadership roles include founding BrickX and co-founding Tank Stream Labs, alongside a directorship at LIAG Argentina S.A., a significant player in sustainable agriculture within Latin America. Markus holds a Bachelor of Agricultural Economics (Honours) from the University of Sydney and a Graduate Certificate in Applied Finance from Kaplan Australia.
