Sean K. Lowder

Sean Lowder is an experienced technology professional specializing in information security. As an independent consultant since May 2018, Sean serves as a virtual Chief Information Security Officer (vCISO). Prior to this role, Sean spent 16 years at Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Louisiana, advancing from Information Security Architect to Vice President and Chief Information Security Officer. Additional roles included Interim Chief Security Officer and Director of Information Assurance and IT Practice Services. Sean's career began at General Health System as a Senior Systems Engineer from 1995 to 2000. Sean holds a Bachelor of Science in Information Technology from the University of Phoenix, obtained between 2004 and 2007.
