Justin Reed is an experienced rig manager with a background in the drilling industry, holding the position of Rig Manager at Independence Contract Drilling since November 2018. Previous roles include Night Rig Manager and Driller at Sidewinder Drilling LLC, where employment has been ongoing since December 2016, as well as positions as Assistant Driller at Noble Drilling from May 2013 to July 2016 and Driller at both Sidewinder Drilling Inc. and Orion Drilling Company. Justin's career began at Rowan Companies as a Derrickman, Floorman, and Roustabout from June 2006 to July 2010, and Justin has developed expertise in 6th Generation Ultra Deep Water drilling. Justin holds a high school diploma from Pearl River Central High School, attended from 2001 to 2005.

Sidewinder Drilling has merged with Independence Contract Drilling. With the closing of the merger, ICD will more than double the size of its pad-optimal rig fleet to 34 rigs following modest upgrades to five Sidewinder rigs. The combined company's management team will be led by Anthony Gallegos, Sidewinder's current President & Chief Executive Officer, who also will serve as a director of the combined company, and Philip Choyce, ICD's current Executive Vice President & Chief Financial Officer. Upon closing of the merger, the combined company's board of directors will consist of four existing ICD board members, including Thomas R. Bates, James D. Crandell, Matthew D. Fitzgerald, and Daniel F. McNease, as well as Mr. Gallegos, and two additional members, James Minmier and Adam Piekarski, appointed by the former owners of Sidewinder.
