Anna Remis

Anna Remis is a seasoned Technology and IP Licensing Attorney at Sidley Austin LLP since June 2012, specializing in IP licensing, technology transactions, venture capital investments, and intellectual property matters related to corporate mergers and acquisitions. Prior to this role, Anna worked as a Business Attorney at Howard Rice from September 2007 to May 2012, concentrating on M&A, venture capital, emerging companies, and intellectual property transactions. Earlier legal experience includes a position as a Legal Assistant at TransAsia Lawyers, where Anna focused on media clients and foreign investment transactions in China's e-commerce, media, and manufacturing sectors, and contributed to China's Media & Entertainment Law, Vol. Anna started the legal career as an intern at the US-China Business Council in Beijing. Anna holds a JD from the University of California, Berkeley - School of Law, a Certificate in Chinese Language Studies from Tsinghua University, a BA in East Asian Studies from The George Washington University, and attended the Illinois Math & Science Academy.
