Lauren Cuyvers

Lauren Cuyvers is a highly experienced legal professional specializing in data privacy, artificial intelligence, and cybersecurity. Currently serving as a Senior Managing Associate at Sidley Austin LLP since September 2018, Lauren initially held the role of Privacy and Cybersecurity Associate within the EU/UK data privacy practice group. Additionally, Lauren has contributed as an EU Advisory Board Member for the International Association of Privacy Professionals from January 2022 to December 2023 and gained experience as Data Privacy Counsel during a secondment at Partners Group in 2020. Previously, Lauren has held significant positions at Alston & Bird and Olswang (now CMS), focusing on technology, privacy, and data security. Lauren's academic background includes a Master of Laws in Criminal & Corporate Law from KULeuven and an Erasmus program at Université de Rouen.
