Chris Nicol is an experienced electrical engineer with a diverse background in developing collaborative solutions and educational technologies. Currently at SMART Technologies since July 2010, Chris focuses on hardware development for DViT interactive whiteboards and related educational devices. Previous roles include firmware engineering at the same company, where Chris developed firmware and diagnostic tools, and electronics contracting for the Science Alberta Foundation, specializing in electronics design for educational devices. Earlier experience includes working as an electronics engineer at Grindcom on control systems for forestry machinery and serving as a teaching assistant at the University of Calgary, aiding in student labs and exam supervision. Chris Nicol holds an M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Calgary and a B.Tech. in Electronics Engineering from DeVry Institute of Technology.
