Richard Kube has a long and varied work experience. Richard started their career in 1977 as a Jet Engine Mechanic in the United States Air Force, where they maintained, repaired, overhauled, and tested jet engines, aircraft, and associated ground support equipment. After leaving the Air Force in 1981, they worked as a Gas Turbine and Generator Technician for Florida Power Corporation for three years. In 1984, Richard started their own business, Richard's Welding and Repair, Inc., where they handled all aspects of the small business' financial, administration, and daily operations. In 1990, they joined United Space Alliance as a Manager I and Mechanical Test Engineer/Mechanical Manufacturing Engineer, where they were responsible for direct logistical support to NASA and oversaw 5 department managers and 100+ employees. In 2007, they were promoted to Manager II at United Space Alliance. In 2010, Richard moved to USA as a Principle Project Manager, where they supported new business pursuits within the NASA Shuttle Logistics Depot Business Development Project Office. In 2021, they joined Cape Design Engineering Co. as the VP of Design Engineering and in 2022, they became the Engineering/Manufacturing SME at Sidus Space.

Richard Kube has a Master's degree in Aeronautical Sciences from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University.
