David Mertz

David Mertz is an accomplished engineering professional with extensive experience in energy production and product management, currently serving as the Head of Front End Engineering and Product Manager for Unconventionals at Siemens Energy since October 2020. Mertz has successfully led initiatives such as the delivery of mobile gas turbine packages and the implementation of requirements management tools for the JIP33 program, establishing strong relationships with key industry stakeholders. Prior experience includes multiple managerial roles at Siemens, where Mertz oversaw engineering teams, managed significant project budgets, and successfully reduced delivery times and operational inefficiencies. Mertz holds a Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Texas A&M University and dual Bachelor's Degrees in Engineering Science and Physics from Trinity University.
