Kathleen O'Brien

Kathleen O'Brien is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in technology and innovation within the energy sector. Currently serving as Vice President of Technology & Innovation at Siemens Energy, Kathleen has previously held significant leadership roles at Raytheon Technologies as Senior Director of Aerothermal & Intelligent Systems and at GE Global Research as Executive Director for Electric Power Technologies, R&D Portfolio Leader for GE Energy Connections, and Manager of the Electric Power Systems Laboratory. Kathleen began their career as a Research Associate at ABB Corporate Research and as an Electrical Engineer at Electric Boat. Academic qualifications include a PhD in Electrical Engineering from Technische Universität Dresden and a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
