Vignesh Athreya

Vignesh Athreya is a seasoned project manager and AI engineer with extensive experience in developing and managing AI-driven solutions within the energy sector. Currently serving as a Senior Project Manager at Siemens Energy, Vignesh is a founding member of the Grid Technology AI Lab, focusing on the development of AI Foundation Models for Substation assets and collaborating with external partners. Previously, Vignesh held positions as a Product Manager and Lead Research Engineer at Siemens Corporate Research, where contributions included advancing digitalization strategies and implementing AI techniques such as neural operators and self-supervised learning. With a strong academic background, including a Master’s Degree from the University of Michigan and a Bachelor’s Degree from Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham University, Vignesh combines technical acumen with a commitment to innovation in AI applications.
