Richard Luijendijk

Richard Luijendijk is the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) for the onshore business from January 1, 2023.

Before that time, he was the Head of Global Projects and the CEO of the Asia Pacific region for the onshore business for more than a year. In October 2022, he began to assist global Siemens Gamesa CEO Jochen Eickholt in the daily management of the global onshore business.

Born in Gouda, the Netherlands, Richard holds a Master of Science in aerospace engineering from the Technical University in Delft, the Netherlands.

His professional career has covered postings worldwide and has been tied to the Siemens group since 2000, when he joined Siemens Nederland N.V., as senior manager in Sales & Development.

In March 2004, he moved to GE Wind Energy, as the sales manager for the Wind Energy business in Benelux.

In September 2005, he joined Siemens Wind Power and held several senior positions in onshore, offshore and service, based in Denmark.

Within Siemens Gamesa, Richard has covered different positions such as Head of Sales for the offshore business, CEO for the onshore business in the APAC region, and Head of Business Transformation, leading the LEAP strategy program.
