Raymond Turner has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of neurosurgery. Raymond began their career at SUNY Downstate Medical Center as a Surgical Intern in 2002. From there, they completed their Neurosurgery Residency at Cleveland Clinic from 2003 to 2008. In 2008, they joined the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) where they held multiple roles including Neurosurgeon, Professor of Neurosurgery, Chief of Neuroscience, and Director of Stroke and Cerebrovascular Center. During their time at MUSC, Raymond Turner also served as the Neurosurgery Residency Program Director.
In 2018, Raymond Turner transitioned to Prisma Health, where they worked as an Endovascular Neurosurgeon. Raymond then joined Johnson & Johnson in 2018 as part of the Medical Affairs team in Cerenovus. In 2019, they joined the University of South Carolina School of Medicine Greenville as a Professor of Surgery. Also in 2019, they began working at Siemens Healthineers as the Chief Medical Advisor for Neuro and Spine. Raymond later took on the role of Chief Medical Officer for Endovascular Robotics in 2021.

Raymond Turner attended East Catholic High School from 1990 to 1994 and received a high school degree. Raymond then pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology at Sacred Heart University from 1994 to 1998. Following that, they attended Poznan University of Medical Sciences from 1998 to 2002, earning a Doctorate of Medicine degree.
