Ashley Smith has a diverse work experience in the education field. Ashley started their career in 2015 as a 2nd grade teacher at Siena Catholic Schools of Racine, where they worked until June 2021. In July 2021, they transitioned to the role of Elementary Principal at the same school. Additionally, in 2020, Ashley undertook an Assistant Principal Internship at Our Lady of Grace Academy. During this internship, they assisted the principal in student discipline, constructed student personnel policies and regulations, and planned various activities and programs for students and families.

Ashley Smith completed their education at various institutions. Ashley obtained their Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education and Teaching, along with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Elementary and Special Education, from Carthage College between 2011 and 2015. In 2017, they pursued a Master of Education (MEd) degree in Educational Leadership and Administration, General, which they completed in 2020 at Capella University.
