Katherine Garcia

Katherine Garcia has a diverse professional background spanning over two decades, with extensive experience in communications, advocacy, and leadership roles. Currently serving as the Clean Transportation for All Campaign Director at the Sierra Club since November 2017, Katherine has also held various positions within the organization, including Deputy Director and Communications Associate. Prior to this, Katherine was the Director of Communications and Outreach at the Center for Open Data Enterprise and served on the Board of Directors for SustainUS, contributing as Chair of the Alumni Engagement Committee. Additional leadership roles include Co-President of the Board of Directors for USNC for UN Women, where Katherine also co-chaired the Marketing & Membership Committee. Early career experiences feature a research associate role at The Governance Lab, a press assistant position at the U.S. Department of State, and multiple sales and management roles at Bonnier Corporation. Katherine holds a Master of Public Administration in Policy Analysis and Program Evaluation from Baruch College and a Bachelor of Arts in Communication from UC Santa Barbara.
