Mandeera Wijetunga

Mandeera Wijetunga has extensive experience in environmental and political campaigning, currently serving as a Campaign Organizing Strategist for the Sierra Club since November 2024. Prior roles include Climate Campaigner for Pacific Environment, focusing on ports and clean ports in Southern California, and District Field Director for the Progressive Turnout Project. Mandeera has held various positions including Nevada Deputy Canvass Manager and Field Organizer for the Bernie Sanders campaign and the California Democratic Party. Early career experience includes roles at San Diego Democrats for Equality, The Cerana Group, and Citizens' Climate Lobby. Mandeera holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and International Relations from UC San Diego, obtained in 2016.
