Rashmi Merchant

Rashmi Merchant, MBA has a diverse work experience spanning over 17 years. Rashmi began their career at ICICI Bank as a Strategic Planning Analyst, where they successfully led projects and managed marketing and sales operating expenses. Rashmi then moved on to Stanford University as an Accountant - Systems Analyst, performing financial analysis and providing recommendations for process management and systems improvements. Rashmi later joined Mehta and Associates as an Investment Analyst before joining Rentalic Inc. as a Business Intelligence Analyst, where they executed financial plans and measured the company's overall performance. Currently, they are working at Sierra Club, where they have held various roles, including Sr. Grant Financial Analyst, Sr. Financial Analyst, and Interim Director of Financial Performance (Energy Campaigns). In their current role as Director of Financial Performance, Rashmi is responsible for managing multiple large energy campaigns' budgets, creating complex strategic budgets, and preparing financial reports for internal and external stakeholders. Rashmi also supports fundraising for multi-million dollar campaigns. Throughout their career, Rashmi has demonstrated proficiency in financial analysis, reporting, and strategic planning.

Rashmi Merchant completed their education with a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Accounting and Finance from Shivaji University in 2001. Rashmi then pursued a Masters of Commerce degree in Accounting and Finance from the same university, graduating in 2004. In 2009, Rashmi obtained their Masters of Business Administration (MBA) from Notre Dame de Namur University.
