Thomas Roddy Hughes

Senior Campaign Representative at Sierra Club

Thomas Roddy Hughes is an experienced professional in environmental advocacy and organizational leadership. Currently serving as a Senior Campaign Representative at the Sierra Club since November 2019, Thomas previously held the position of Executive Director at Global Ties ABQ from July 2018 to September 2019 and at Voices on the Border from September 2007 to December 2016. Thomas co-founded the Institute for Environmental Research and Advocacy and served as a legal consultant at the International Center for Not-for-Profit Law from February 2004 to August 2007. Additional experience includes a volunteer role at Basic Health El Salvador and co-founding Nursing Students Without Borders. Thomas owned Hughes Plants from July 1997 to August 2000. Educational qualifications include a Doctor of Law (J.D.) from Vermont Law and Graduate School and a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Philosophy and Religious Studies from Virginia Commonwealth University.
