Managing Director For Health Equity And Access at Sierra Health Foundation

Matt Curtis has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning over several years. Matt is currently the Managing Director for Health Equity and Access at Sierra Health Foundation, a position they have held since November 2022. Prior to this role, Matt worked at the California Department of Public Health as a Policy & Program Development Specialist from May 2017 to October 2022. Matt also has experience as a Public Health Consultant, both as self-employed from December 2016 to May 2017 and independently from November 2008 to January 2013. Before their consulting work, Matt served as the Policy Director at VOCAL-NY from February 2013 to December 2016. Additionally, they worked as a Program Officer at Open Society Institute from August 2000 to October 2008, and as a Senior Program Assistant at the International Foundation for Election Systems from May 1998 to June 2000. Matt began their career as a Research Assistant at Georgetown University from January 1997 to May 1998.

Matt Curtis completed their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Anthropology and Russian Language from the University of Delaware from 1992 to 1996. Matt then pursued further education at Georgetown University from 1996 to 1998, where they studied Russian, Central European, East European and Eurasian Studies. Finally, from 2010 to 2012, they attended The City University of New York and obtained a Master of Public Health (MPH) degree with a focus on Epidemiology & Biostatistics.
