Michael Jeffries is a highly experienced aerospace engineer currently serving as a Principal Aerospace Engineer at Sierra Nevada Corporation since October 2025. Prior to this role, Michael worked at Sierra Space as a Principal Aerodynamics Engineer from October 2017 to October 2025, and was a Senior Principal Aerodynamics Engineer at Orbital ATK from June 2002 to October 2017. Michael also contributed to academia as a Faculty Associate Professor at Arizona State University from January 2015 to May 2017, teaching Aircraft Dynamics and Controls. Michael holds a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Aerospace Engineering, as well as a Master’s Degree in Aerospace Engineering and a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, all from Carleton University, with degrees obtained between 1987 and 2001.
