Chris Johnston

Chris Johnston is the President and Founder of Sierra-Olympia Technologies Inc., a leader in cooled MWIR and uncooled LWIR airborne systems for unmanned and remotely-piloted vehicles, serving the industry since May 1995. Under Chris Johnston’s leadership, the company has delivered over 4,000 cooled MWIR units and numerous uncooled LWIR systems, positioning itself as a major innovator in specialty infrared cameras for various applications, including airborne imaging and security. Prior experience includes roles as a Sales Engineer at Amber Engineering and Photometrics, Ltd., specializing in infrared imaging products and test equipment. Chris Johnston holds a BS in Engineering Physics from the University of Arizona, earned in 1985.
