Eric Rubio

Eric Rubio is an accomplished engineering professional with extensive experience in aerospace and energy sectors. Currently serving as the Director of Test and Integration at Sierra Space since January 2022, Rubio leads a multi-disciplinary engineering team in the development of tests for the next generation reusable Dream Chaser spacecraft. Prior roles include Test Manager for Dream Chaser at Sierra Nevada Corporation, where responsibilities included managing spacecraft testing efforts. Rubio also contributed significantly to the development of manufacturing techniques for wind turbine towers at Keystone Tower Systems and led testing and validation efforts for innovative generator technologies at Boulder Wind Power. Previous experience at Pratt & Whitney involved oversight of dynamic characterization for turbine engines, while a brief role at Aerojet focused on qualification testing for armament devices. Eric Rubio holds a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Washington and a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Nevada, Reno.
