James Kaidy is a seasoned aerospace engineer with extensive experience in guidance, navigation, and control (GN&C) systems. Currently serving as a Senior GN&C Engineer at Sierra Space since August 2022, Kaidy is involved in testing for the Dream Chaser program. Previous roles include Lead Lander GN&C Engineer at ASI by Rocket Lab, where Kaidy directed GN&C design for the Blue Ghost Lunar Lander, and participation in the OSAM-1 mission at SAIC and Insight Global. Additional experience encompasses leadership positions at Trident Vantage Systems, Geocent, and Moon Express, contributing to lunar lander development, spacecraft integration, and innovative GN&C technologies. Educational background includes a Master’s degree in Process Monitoring and Controls from the University of Houston-Clear Lake and a Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Maryland.
