Jim Campanell

Jim Campanell is a seasoned software engineer and architect with extensive experience in embedded systems and full-stack development. Currently serving as a Principal Embedded Software Engineer at Sierra Space since December 2023, Campanell is involved in flight systems software development for advanced aerospace projects. Previous roles include consulting work with Lunar Outpost and CableLabs, where Campanell focused on user authorization systems and Optical Software Defined Networking, respectively. Throughout the career, Campanell has contributed to various leading technology companies, such as BitTorrent, Inc. and Connectbase, specializing in software analysis, architecture, and system enhancements. A graduate of Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute with a BS in Computer Science, Campanell has demonstrated expertise in diverse programming languages and systems across multiple industries.
