Senior Structural Analysis Engineer at Sierra Space

Kevin McHugh is a highly skilled engineer with extensive experience in structural analysis within the aerospace sector. Currently serving as a Senior Structural Analysis Engineer at Sierra Space since February 2021, Kevin focuses on the structural analysis of the Dream Chaser Spaceplane. Previous roles include Aerospace Structural Engineer at Lockheed Martin, where Kevin conducted stress and structural analysis for the F-16 and F-22 programs, and at Sierra Nevada Corporation - Space Systems, with a similar focus on the Dream Chaser program. Kevin also contributed to the 777X Thrust Reverser Program and the 737 MAX Thrust Reverser and C-Series Engine Pylon Programs at Spirit AeroSystems. Kevin's early career includes internships at Honeywell Aerospace, where foundational skills were developed. Educational credentials include a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering and a Bachelor of Science in Aerospace, Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering from Oklahoma State University, as well as a Master of Science in Aerospace, Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering from Wichita State University.
