Peter Ericksen is a Senior GN&C Engineer at Sierra Space, with previous experience as a Senior Professional Staff member at The Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory, where contributions included the development of the Targeting algorithm for NASA’s DART spacecraft and lunar mobility simulation. Peter has a solid background in algorithm development and simulation analysis, having worked on various projects related to hypervelocity impacts and imaging for DART. Prior roles include rock climbing instruction at Cornell Outdoor Education and internships at the Air Force Research Laboratory focused on CubeSat technology and photovoltaic cell architectures. Peter holds a Master of Science in Space Systems Engineering from Johns Hopkins and a Bachelor of Science in Engineering Physics from Cornell University.
