Saumya Simon

Saumya Simon is a skilled engineer with extensive experience in structural and stress analysis within the aerospace industry. Currently serving as a Senior Structural Engineer at Sierra Space since April 2021, Saumya previously held roles at Virgin Galactic as a Stress Engineer and at QuEST Global, where responsibilities included performing and reviewing stress and fatigue analyses for composite and metallic materials on various aircraft models, notably the A350 and A320. Prior experience includes positions as a Senior Stress Engineer at Collins Aerospace and UTC Aerospace Systems, as well as a Stress Engineer at Textron Aviation, focusing on Cessna aircraft. Saumya also possesses a strong academic background with multiple degrees from Oklahoma State University, where research work included advanced simulations and engineering applications. Currently pursuing further education at the International Institute for Astronautical Sciences, Saumya's expertise encompasses a wide array of engineering disciplines and analytical methodologies.
