Bas Meilink

Bas Meilink is a seasoned legal professional with extensive experience in corporate law, particularly in the renewable energy sector. Currently serving as General Counsel at Sif Group since October 2025, Bas has previously held significant roles, including Legal Manager Corporate and Corporate Counsel at Van Oord, where leadership in renewable energy project transactions was a key responsibility. Bas’s earlier experience includes acting as International Legal Counsel, focusing on restructurings, joint ventures, and corporate governance, as well as serving as deputy civil-law notary at Eversheds and Simmons & Simmons, emphasizing corporate law and finance. Educational qualifications include master's degrees in Civil Law and Notarial Law from the University of Groningen, alongside additional studies at prestigious institutions such as IMD and the Grotius Academie.
