Chang Liu is an accomplished staff data scientist at Sift since November 2020, with a progressive background in data science roles, including senior data scientist and data scientist. Prior to Sift, Chang Liu completed a Ph.D. in Statistics at Rutgers University - New Brunswick from 2015 to 2019, conducting impactful research that earned an Outstanding Research Award for a novel analysis in train accidents. Previous experiences include data science internships at Adobe, where optimization of email send times was achieved through machine learning, and at Bristol-Myers Squibb, contributing to clinical trials with Bayesian models. Additional analytical work at Rutgers and software engineering at Ericsson further solidified expertise in data-driven methodologies. Chang Liu holds a Master of Science in Computational Mathematics and a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from Fudan University.
