CIO at SIGHT Medical

Albert H. has extensive work experience spanning over three decades. Albert began their career in 1989 as a Contract Programmer at IBM, where they specialized in porting NFS file system to AIX and worked as a development lead on machine-level debugging capability on IBM Virtual Machine (VM) for Super Computing AIX. In 1990, they joined Aerojet as a Principal Engineer, where they lead the design and development of the graphical interface for the U.S. Air Force satellite-based missile warning system.

Albert then moved on to Boeing/Autometric in 1997, assuming the role of Director of Software Development. Here, they provided day-to-day leadership and management in software development and oversaw a team of 12 technical staff for multi-million-dollar projects. Albert developed high-performance visual applications used in the battlefield by the U.S.

In 2001, they joined Compressus as the Chief Software Architect, specializing in the integration of medical information among multi-vendors. In this role, they identified and implemented technology trends and platforms and worked closely with the CTO and cross-functional teams to design and deliver a rules-based workflow system. During their time at Compressus, they were promoted to Vice President of Engineering in 2007. In this concurrent role, they managed a team of 52+ technical staff and played a key role in developing highly-scalable, multi-channel, and multi-stakeholder technology products. Albert also communicated the company's technology strategy to clients, staff, partners, and stakeholders.

Most recently, Albert joined SIGHT Medical in 2015 as the CIO.

Albert H. holds a Master's Degree in Computer Science from the University of California, Riverside. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Business Administration and Management from California State University-San Bernardino. In addition to their degrees, Albert H. has also completed the "Fundamentals of Embedded Systems Design and Programming" certification course at the University of California, Irvine Extension in 2013.
