Tim Buckley

VP, Pipeline Strategy & Surgical Marketing at Sight Sciences

Mr. Buckley's primary focus has been global product introductions in a broad range of medical markets – including devices and implants for ophthalmology, ENT, laparoscopic, and cardiovascular therapies.

Prior to joining Sight Sciences, Mr. Buckley led Medeon's commercial operations strategy. Prior to that, he served as Vice President of Global Marketing and Business Development at Iridex Corporation until 2019. He held a number of key leadership positions of increasing responsibility, including executive leadership of the US and global sales. Throughout his career, Mr. Buckley has focused on both early-stage market development and global commercialization with expertise in launch strategy. Prior to Iridex, he was co-founder and CEO of Ocunetics, Inc. an early-stage ophthalmic start-up. Mr. Buckley joined Iridex through its acquisition of Ocunetics’ technologies. He previously worked at Transcend Medical (acquired by Alcon), an ophthalmology stent start-up, and at Carl Zeiss Meditec where he led the marketing for its North American ophthalmic surgery division. Prior to 2001, Mr. Buckley gained extensive experience developing innovative devices in a product development capacity at Starion Instruments (acquired by Microline Surgical), General Surgical Innovations (acquired by Tyco Healthcare), and Lockheed Martin. Mr. Buckley holds a BS in Mechanical Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley, and an MBA in Business from Santa Clara University.
