Alison Ashlin, PhD, has a diverse work experience spanning different sectors and roles. Alison currently serves as the Head of Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning Operations at Sightsavers, where they previously held positions as Acting Head, Senior Advisor, and Senior Manager in the same field. Prior to that, they worked as a Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning Specialist at the Institute of Development Studies, and as the Manager for Making All Voices Count project. Alison's experience also includes working as a Monitoring and Evaluation Coordinator at ShelterBox, where they led evaluations and managed humanitarian responses in various countries. Alison holds a PhD in Geography and the Environment from the University of Oxford, and has had previous roles in public relations consulting and account management.

Alison Ashlin, PhD, began their education journey in 1995 at UCL, where they completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology in 1998. Alison then pursued their Master of Science degree in Biodiversity, Conservation, and Management at the University of Oxford from 2003 to 2004. Continuing their academic pursuits at the same university, they obtained their Doctor of Philosophy degree in Geography and Environment in 2010.
