Before joining Telefónica, Jesús worked as a Speech Technology Software Engineer at Dragon Systems from 1998 to 2000. Jesús led an international software engineer team and was responsible for the Spanish version of the Dragon NaturallySpeaking recognition product.

Jesús Bernat Vercher, PhD, obtained their education in the field of telecommunications and computer science engineering. Jesús began their educational journey in 1990 at the Universitat Politècnica de València (UPV), where they pursued a degree in Computer Science Engineering, which they completed in 1995. Following this, they enrolled at the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid in 2007 and successfully completed their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Telecommunications Engineering in 2012.
