Jesús Bernat Vercher, PhD has a diverse work experience in various technology-related roles. Jesús is currently working as the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) at Sigma Technologies Global since December 2019. Prior to this, they served as the CTO at Muving from October 2018 to December 2019.

From 2017 to 2019, Jesús worked at PhoneDrive, S.L. as the CTO and co-founder of Drivies, a B2C product aimed at improving driving habits. Jesús was responsible for defining product architecture, methodologies, and processes, as well as leading technical activities and teams comprising research, development, quality assurance, business intelligence, and DevOps.

At Telefónica, Jesús held multiple roles spanning from 2000 to 2017. Jesús served as the CTO for Insurance Telematics, leading the creation of new car insurance products based on driving information captured by mobile apps. During their tenure, Jesús launched three products: Drivies, Generali Driver, and Helvetia Good Driver. In addition, they served as the Initiative Leader for Insurance Telematics/Smart Transport, where they introduced the first car insurance telematics product for Telefónica in Spain and Germany. Jesús also contributed to cloud computing technology development and led the research and innovation efforts in machine-to-machine (M2M) and Internet of Things (IoT) domains, including participation in research projects like SmartSantander.

Before joining Telefónica, Jesús worked as a Speech Technology Software Engineer at Dragon Systems from 1998 to 2000. Jesús led an international software engineer team and was responsible for the Spanish version of the Dragon NaturallySpeaking recognition product.

Jesús Bernat Vercher, PhD, obtained their education in the field of telecommunications and computer science engineering. Jesús began their educational journey in 1990 at the Universitat Politècnica de València (UPV), where they pursued a degree in Computer Science Engineering, which they completed in 1995. Following this, they enrolled at the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid in 2007 and successfully completed their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Telecommunications Engineering in 2012.
