Scott Aukema

Scott Aukema has over two decades of experience in marketing and communications. Scott currently serves as the Vice President of Marketing at Sigma Defense Systems LLC since 2022. Prior to this, they worked at ViON Corporation as the Director of Marketing from 2014 to 2022.

Before joining ViON Corporation, Aukema worked at Cisco for several years in various marketing roles. Scott was the Public Sector Collaboration Marketing Manager from 2007 to 2014, where they developed and executed strategic demand generation programs for telepresence, video conferencing, and collaboration products and services. During their time at Cisco, they also served as the Product Communications and Industry Marketing Manager from 2009 to 2011 and as a Public Sector Channel Marketing Manager from 2007 to 2009.

Earlier in their career, Aukema worked at ST Engineering iDirect as a Senior Channel Marketing Manager from 2005 to 2007, where they developed marketing strategies and communication programs to drive revenue through distribution channels. Scott also worked at GTSI as a Marketing Programs Manager in 2005 and at MCI Telecommunications as a Marketing Communications Manager from 2003 to 2005 and as a Product Marketing Manager from 1999 to 2003.

Aukema began their career in 1994, working as an Acquisitions Analyst at AEGIS Shipbuilding Headquarters and as a Legislative Assistant at the Virginia House of Delegates. Scott has a strong background in developing marketing strategies, executing demand generation campaigns, managing sales enablement programs, and creating marketing materials across various industries.

Scott Aukema completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science at Randolph-Macon College in 1994. Before that, they attended High Point Regional High School from 1987 to 1990.
