Vlad Dzhabarov 🇺🇦

Vlad Dzhabarov has a strong background in DevOps and infrastructure architecture. Vlad currently functions as the Director of DevOps at Traction Guest since July 2021. In this role, they have been responsible for strategic planning for infrastructure, code delivery, and security. Vlad has successfully designed and implemented Kubernetes (AWS EKS), achieving high availability and cost savings. Vlad has also developed a platform for self-service provisioning of development environments and deployed cookie-cutter single-tenant environments for large clients. Additionally, Vlad oversaw a data and infrastructure migration project from Heroku into EKS and enhanced cloud and infrastructure security. Vlad played a crucial role in transitioning Traction Guest from scheduled releases to a full CI/CD model and provided mentorship to developers and junior team members.

Before Traction Guest, Vlad worked as a Senior DevOps Engineer on a contract basis at lululemon in 2019. Prior to that, they served as a Senior Site Reliability Engineer (DevOps) at AppNeta from 2017 to 2019. In this position, they played a pivotal role in driving cloud infrastructure towards increased security, availability, fault tolerance, and automation. Vlad was also responsible for mentoring junior team members and improving systems architecture.

Vlad gained experience as a DevOps Engineer at Hyperwallet from 2016 to 2017 and as a Security Consultant at CyberClan from 2012 to 2016. Furthermore, Vlad worked as a Linux System Administrator at Agreement Express Inc. in 2015 and as a Technician at eSecureData.com from 2014 to 2015.

Throughout their career, Vlad has consistently demonstrated expertise in deploying infrastructure and ensuring high availability, security, and automation. Vlad has extensive experience in working with tools and technologies such as Kubernetes, Terraform, AWS, and CentOS, among others.

Vlad Dzhabarov graduated from Simon Fraser University with a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Molecular Biology & Biochemistry. Vlad attended the university from 2008 to 2013. In addition to their degree, Vlad obtained two certifications: RHCSA from Red Hat in November 2015 and CCNA from Cisco in July 2014. These certifications demonstrate their proficiency in specific technology and networking fields.
