Katerina Stoupa has a strong legal background with experience in various roles. Katerina began their career as a Trainee Lawyer/Attorney at Law at Valsamis and Associates Law Firm in 2007 and worked there until 2010. Katerina then joined a shipmanagement company as an Attorney at Law from 2010 to 2012. After that, they worked for a group of shipping companies as an Attorney at Law from 2012 to 2017. Since 2018, they have been with The Signal Group where they initially held the position of Senior Legal Counsel until 2021, and is currently serving as the Director Legal.

Katerina Stoupa completed an Executive MBA at Quantic School of Business and Technology, with a specialization in Business, and is expected to graduate in 2022. Prior to that, they obtained an MSc in Shipping from the University of Piraeus in 2014. Katerina also holds a Bachelor's degree in Law from Ethnikon kai Kapodistriakon Panepistimion Athinon, which they completed in 2008. In addition to their formal education, Katerina has acquired several certifications, including a Certificate in Negotiations from Athens University of Economics and Business in October 2019, an International Maritime Law advanced seminar from Ethnikon kai Kapodistriakon Panepistimion Athinon in July 2019, a Roadmap to GDPR certification from NOMIKI BIBLIOTHIKI in 2018, a School of Management Workshop certificate from Linkage in 2016, and a Maritime Safety Issues certification from SUNY Maritime College in 2010.
