Leif Christensen

Leif Christensen is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in maintenance and operations management within the silica and mining industries. Currently serving as the Vice President of Maintenance at Signal Peak Silica LLC since September 2024, Leif focuses on aligning maintenance operations with strategic goals, emphasizing performance, reliability, and safety. Previously, Leif held roles including Director of Operations and Plant Manager at Alpine Silica, and Plant Manager and Project Manager at Signal Peak Silica LLC. Leif started as Maintenance Manager at Preferred, leading startup operations, and has a rich background in capital project leadership as General Foreman at Sumitomo Metal Mining POGO LLC. Leif holds an MS in Geology/Geophysics from Missouri University of Science and Technology and a BS in Distributive Science - Geology from Austin Peay State University. Additionally, Leif completed an Industrial Electricity certification course at AVTEC.
