Cihan Öngün

Cihan Öngün has a diverse range of work experience. Cihan is currently working as a Senior Deep Learning Engineer at Signatrix since July 2021. Prior to this, they worked at Orta Doğu Teknik Üniversitesi as a Research Assistant from October 2014 to June 2021 and as a Machine Learning Project Assistant from September 2012 to September 2014. In 2016, Cihan co-founded Deve Games, a game startup, and served as a Game Developer until February 2017. Cihan was also a Full Stack Developer at sciRobot from January 2015 to January 2016.

Cihan Öngün began their education in 2007 at Eskişehir Osmangazi Üniversitesi, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering in 2012. In the following year, from 2011 to 2012, they attended Budapest University of Technology and Economics and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Software Engineering. Cihan continued their education at Orta Doğu Teknik Üniversitesi (Middle East Technical University) and completed a Master of Science degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering / Computer from 2012 to 2014. Cihan then pursued a Ph.D. at the same university, specializing in Information Systems, and successfully obtained their Doctor of Philosophy degree in 2021. Additionally, Cihan has obtained certifications including being a Marie Curie Fellow as an Exchange Researcher at ISCTE in Lisbon, Portugal in July 2017, and attending the SSPNet Summer School on Social Signal Processing in Vietri, Italy in June 2013. Cihan also completed a course on Image and Video Processing through Coursera, although the exact completion date and institution are not specified.
