Matthew Taylor Strote

Matthew Taylor Strote serves as the Education Program Manager at Signature Theatre since January 2014, where responsibilities include the creation and coordination of educational materials and the development of original works through the Signature in the Schools program. Strote also has experience as an Assistant Director at ArtStream, Inc., providing support to adults with disabilities in an inclusive theatre setting. Additionally, Strote has performed as an actor and educator for various arts organizations in Washington D.C. and has held educational internships at Studio Theatre and Shakespeare Theatre Company. Strote's earlier role as Youth Development Staff for the City of Gaithersburg involved mentoring elementary-aged students. Strote holds a Bachelor's degree in Theatre and English from the University of Maryland, attained in 2013.
