Sydney Avent

Sydney Avent is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in both legal and ministry roles. Currently serving as a Board Member for the Pension Fund of the Christian Church and Signature Theatre, Sydney has also held leadership positions such as Sabbatical Minister at the First Christian Church of Alexandria, and Pastor for Social Justice at Park Avenue Christian Church. Previous legal experience includes Assistant General Counsel at Pfizer and EVP, General Counsel and Secretary of Corporation for UNCF. Sydney's foundational roles in various churches, including Ministerial Internships and Vice Chair of the Trustee Board at Bright Hope Baptist Church, complement a robust educational background with a Master of Divinity from Drew University, a J.D. from UCLA, and a B.A. in Psychology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
