Maarten Vernooij

Maarten Vernooij serves as the Vice President and Global Business Segment Leader for Smart Buildings at Signify, leading the transformation of the company from a traditional lighting entity to a provider of integrated solutions. With a career spanning over 15 years at Philips Lighting and Signify, Maarten has held various leadership roles, including Marketing Director for the Benelux region and Global Sales Director, alongside significant experience in strategy and business development. Earlier professional tenure includes positions at Unilever and an academic role in Corporate Strategy at Rotterdam Business School. Maarten holds multiple degrees, including an MSc in Industrial Engineering & Management from the University of Twente and an EMBA from Nyenrode Business University, complemented by post-graduate and executive education in digital marketing, leadership, and marketing.
