Tathagato Rai Dastidar

Tathagato Rai Dastidar has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Tathagato is the Founder and CEO of SigTuple since May 2020. Prior to that, they were the Co-founder and Chief Scientific Officer of SigTuple from January 2017 to April 2020. From June 2015 to December 2016, they also served as the Co-founder and CEO of SigTuple.

Before joining SigTuple, Tathagato worked at Tribune Digital Ventures/Gracenote as the Senior Director of R&D from May 2014 to April 2015. Tathagato was responsible for developing strategies and systems for the Media Tech Labs, with a focus on Machine Learning.

Prior to that, Tathagato worked at American Express as the Director of Big Data Labs from May 2012 to April 2014. Tathagato played a key role in building the big data labs engineering team and providing technical guidance to a team of big data engineers.

Tathagato's career also includes experience at AgO Synthesis Inc., where they served as the Founder and VP Engineering from July 2007 to November 2013. Additionally, they worked at Yahoo as a Senior Engineering Manager/Architect from October 2011 to April 2012, and as an Engineering Manager/Principal Engineer from August 2008 to October 2011. At Yahoo, they led various projects related to image and video search and was involved in designing and implementing image processing pipelines and machine learning models.

Prior to Yahoo, Tathagato worked at National Semiconductor as a Principal Software Engineer from June 2000 to February 2007. During their time there, they focused on analog and mixed-signal EDA software development, developing simulators and platforms for semiconductor memory verification.

Tathagato Rai Dastidar pursued their education at the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur. Tathagato began by completing their Bachelor of Technology (BTech) degree in Computer Science & Engineering from 1996 to 2000. Later, they furthered their studies by attaining a PhD in the same field from 2003 to 2006 at the same institute.
