Slavko Kanalec

Slavko Kanalec has extensive experience in the steel industry, currently serving as Chief Technology Officer and Director of Technology at SIJ - Slovenian Steel Group since January 2014, focusing on technology, energy, safety, maintenance, and innovations. Prior roles include General Manager at SIJ Acroni in 2017 and General Manager at Acroni from 2007 to 2014, along with management positions as Steelplant Hot Rolling Mill Manager and Steelplant Technologist at Acroni from 2000 to 1999, emphasizing production, safety, cost management, and HR. Slavko Kanalec holds an MBA from IEDC - Bled School of Management and a degree in materials and steelmaking from the University of Ljubljana's Faculty of Natural Sciences and Engineering.
