Liz Thomson

Liz is the Director of Planning, Monitoring and Learning and the former SIL Director of Language Program Services, Anglo-Lusophone Africa Area. Since earning an MSc in Food Science and a BSc in Biochemistry, she has held leadership positions, including Director of SIL Uganda-Tanzania, Project Manager for the Uganda-Tanzania Scripture Access for All Comprehensive Project and Director of Language Affairs for SIL Uganda-Tanzania. Liz was born in Uganda and lived there until the age of eight. Since 2016, Liz has served on both the SIL International Board as Vice-Chair and the JAARS Board. Liz now works from the UK.
