Afrah Mukbil

Afrah Mukbil is an experienced leader in business development and commercial strategy, currently serving as the Director of Automotive Key Accounts & Business Development at Sila Nanotechnologies, Inc. since June 2025. Previously, Afrah held several key positions at Celanese, including Americas Commercial Leader for Electronics & Clean Energy, and served at BASF as Sr. Director of Engineered Materials - Specialty Applications, overseeing product innovation and leading a 25-person team. Early career endeavors included roles at Corning Incorporated, where Afrah transitioned from engineering to sales, managing significant automotive accounts. Afrah holds an MBA from the University of Michigan's Stephen M. Ross School of Business, a Bachelor of Applied Science in Chemical Engineering from the University of Toronto, and a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from the University of Ottawa.
