Justin Virgili

Justin Virgili is an accomplished professional in the field of chemical engineering, currently serving as the Director at Sila Nanotechnologies Inc. since July 2021. Prior to this role, Justin held several key positions at Tactus Technology from May 2014 to July 2021, including Vice President of Engineering and Director of Materials Engineering. Earlier career experience includes working as an Associate Research Scientist and Senior Engineer at The Dow Chemical Company, where Justin led significant projects in copolymer development and polyurethane systems. Justin's research background includes a tenure as a Graduate Student Researcher at UC Berkeley and a Research Associate at Alexza Pharmaceuticals, where innovative projects in pharmaceuticals were initiated. Justin holds a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley, and a B.S. in Chemical Engineering and Biological Sciences from Stanford University.
