Lucas Bethge

Lucas Bethge has worked primarily in the field of oligonucleotide chemistry. Lucas started their career as a Wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter at Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin from November 2005 to May 2011. Lucas then joined NOXXON Pharma AG as a Scientist and later became a Group Leader Chemistry from June 2011 to October 2016. Since 2016, they have been working at Silence Therapeutics plc, initially as a Senior Scientist from November 2016 to July 2017, then as a Senior Scientist and Group Leader Oligonucleotide Chemistry from July 2017 to December 2020, and as a Principal Scientist and Group Leader Oligonucleotide Chemistry from January 2021 to June 2021. Currently, they hold the position of VP and Group Leader Oligonucleotide Chemistry at Silence Therapeutics plc, starting in June 2021.

Lucas Bethge completed their education in the field of Chemistry at Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin. From 1999 to 2005, they obtained a Diplom degree in Chemistry. Following this, from 2005 to 2011, they pursued further studies and received a Promotion (Ph.D.) in Chemistry from the same university.
